The Japanese government has kick started the National Travel Discount Program in the aim to boost the local tourism industry. You can enjoy the travel program until December 20th of this year.

The program offers a discount of up to 40% or up to 5,000 yen per person and a coupon of up to 3,000 yen/night per person. The coupons can be used for dining at local restaurants, purchasing goods at local stores and novelty items at souvenir shops. To avail the National Travel Discount Program, simply make a reservation from Ikyu or Relux. For example, if you make a reservation for 6 people on a weekday rate of 99,000 yen, a discount of 30,000 yen (5,000 yen x 6 people) will be given. In addition, you will receive a coupon of 18,000 yen (3,000 yen x 6 people).
